Bretforton House Farm

.
~ The village of Bretforton lies between the town of Evesham and the steep western edge of the Cotswold Hills where most of the honey coloured stone used in Bretforton was quarried. The documented history of the village goes back more than 1200 years to a Saxon deed of 714 AD. The Saxons called it Brotforton 'the ford with planks' possibly a reference to a footbridge alongside a ford.
~ One of the showpieces of Bretforton is the Fleece public house, tucked in a corner at the heart of the village. Originally a medieval farmhouse with farm animals occupying one end of the building and the yeoman family living at the other, the Fleece has been an Inn since 1848.
~ There are many things to see including 'The Brew House', 'The Dugout', 'The Pewter Room' and 'The Witchmarks'.
The Fleece Pub
The Fleece Pub ~ Enjoy all this whilst savouring a meal and a glass of wine, or simply a Ploughman's Platter washed down with a pint of the local ale.
~ Food is served both at lunchtime and in the evening, every day of the week. Children's menus are available.
~ All this is conveniently situated just around the corner from Bretforton House Farm.
